One thing about doing arts and crafts is finding the time to do it. And by the time you get out all the materials and tools, and then come up with a design, it can be, well, for me at least, a long
long time. So once I've made the thing that I originally intended to do, I feel I should keep going, since I've committed the time and effort to get myself set up. Does that make sense? And the easiest way to keep going is to use the stuff you already have out, but try to create something new and different with it.
Here, for example, I started out making this card with the SU stamp set "Fabulous Florets"...
I case'd the design from a sample on the Stampin' Connection, but with different colors: Cherry Cobbler (so rich!), Marina Mist (so fresh!) and Crumb Cake (so classic!).
So once I'd made a few of those, I started playing around with other ideas, using the same colors and stamp set, since they were already right in front of me.....
Using the leftovers from the 2nd card, I came up with this one, which happens to be my favorite...
Then I case'd another design, using the same sets, but this time doing a little watercoloring, just to keep things interesting....
Four different cards, using mostly the same products. I think its fun to challenge myself to come up with new ideas using a limited palette of materials - it's my version of figuring out a puzzle.
Thanks for looking!
