Right under my nose

Sometimes the best inspiration is right under our noses, and we don't see it.  Something we see so often, that we take for granted, and really don't "see" it anymore at all.  I'm all about trying to slow down and notice what's in front of me, so to speak, because there is so much to appreciate right under my nose.

C.A.S.E. in point:  this fabulous card.  For all you SU fans, it can be found on page 140 of the current Idea Book & Catalog.  Mine's not exactly the same, because I used what I had, but its a pretty close approximation.  In flipping through the IBC, I pass by so much fabulousness and don't stop to really study it or pay attention.  Its kinda like looking through a closet full of clothes, but seeing "nothing" to wear (sound familiar?).  So this time I stopped.  And paid attention.  And copied.  And now I'm sharing it with you!

It's a slider card, which is very easy to make and so fun to receive.  The piece on the left is like a huge belly band with a seam in the back - the "woodgrain" panel and chipboard pieces are attached to the front.  The piece on the right slips inside it vertically.  If you want more explanation, send me a message via the "contact me" tab at the top.  TFL!

  1. Great card Lisa! And I know exactly what you mean by not "seeing" what is right in front of your face! Especially the clothes in your closet. Just about every morning that is the story of my life :)
